Full-Service Lawn Fertilization, Weed Control, and Pest Control
Antonio Lawn & Landscape offers a comprehensive, 5-step lawn fertilization program that is tailored to the unique needs of your lawn. Grass fertilization services include:
- Pre-emergent Weed Treatment (March, April) – Application of pre-emergent weed control that helps to prevent crabgrass, dandelions, and other weeds that can ruin your lawn’s appeal.
- Spring Fertilization and Weed Treatment (April, May) – Application of rich fertilizer to invigorate growth and generate healthy green grass blades. Also application of granular weed control, plus spot treatments of any visible weeds.
- Summer Fertilization and Pest Control (June, July) – Application of slow-release fertilizer tailored to dryer, hotter conditions and application of surface and sub-surface agents to protect against insects and grubs that could otherwise eat through your healthy lawn.
- Fall Fertilization and Weed Treatment (August – October) – Application of fertilizer to feed grass and prepare lawn for winter. Also application of granular weed control, plus spot treatments of any visible weeds.
- Fall Lime Application – Proper pH acidity levels are crucial for healthy lawns. To ensure your lawn maintains optimal pH, Antonio Lawn & Landscape will apply lime as needed.
Lawn Aeration (Fall Months)
The effects of rain, sun, wind, mowing, and use cause the soil in your yard to compact and accumulate layers of decaying material called thatch. Lawn aeration helps to break apart compacted soil and thatch by removing small cores or plugs of soil, which leads to more water, oxygen, nutrients, and seeds entering the soil. In turn, the healthier soil leads to grass with thicker, deeper roots and deep green leaves.
Overseeding
Overseeding your lawn is the process of planting new grass seed over your existing lawn. Typically performed after aeration, overseeding allows for growth of new grass in spring.
